The work involved taking measurements (in decibels) for a day in each caf\u00e9 and\u00a0surveys of customers&#8217; perceptions of noise. The goal was to connect the objective measurement of noise with what people thought in each place.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/despacio.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/Comparacion-de-los-tres-cafes.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-2437\" src=\"http:\/\/despacio.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/Comparacion-de-los-tres-cafes-300x124.png\" alt=\"Comparacion de los tres cafes\" width=\"300\" height=\"124\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>In summary, we found the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>People felt comfortable in these caf\u00e9s despite identifying significant\u00a0noise.
