This is a conference to encourage the research, design, economy, social and labour aspects of urban logistics through the use of pedal and electric-assist transport vehicles.

We look forward to learning about different cycle-logistics strategies around the world and apply the resulting knowledge in Cartagena, our first host city.

• Open up new job opportunities and support the economic development of people, neighborhoods and cities
• Demonstrate the value of existing cycle-logistics in the world and professionalize working people’s labor
• Encourage governments to create adequate conditions for freight and passenger transport using active transport vehicles and electric-assist vehicles (zero emissions)

The conference will include different types of commercial cycle-logistics:

• Passenger transport: Bicycle cabs and tourism
• Freight:Merchandise and raw material, last mile logistics, couriers and mail
• Services: Sale points, offices, utilities, recycling etc.

• The social, labor and economic dimensions of cycle-logistics
• The impact of cycle-logistics on urban sustainability
